Android Device To Control A Mac

Do you have an Android device and an Apple Mac product? Then we have a neat trick you can try successfully.  We have found a good way that you can control your Mac using your Android device.  This means you can use and control programs such as iTunes, Quicktime, iPhone, VLC VideoPlayer and Spotify with you Android device.

To use our Android device to control a Mac, we use an app known as Mac Remote.  Follow along with our guide below to install Mac Remote on you Android device and begin using it with your Mac.

Install Mac Remote:

  1. Download Mac Remote. Either go to the Google Play Store on your Android device and search for it there or click on the following link: Download Mac Remote.
  2. Go to Systems Preferences on your Mac. Do so by clicking on the Apple logo on the top left corner and then clicking on the Sharing option.  Note your Mac’s IP address.
  3. On your Android device, follow the on-screen tutorial of Mac Remote to set it up.
  4. Type the name of your Mac in the app and its IP address. Hit connect.
