Orbot for Windows: Proxy with Tor for PC/Mac

Orbot for Windows: Proxy with Tor for PC/Mac – Guide to Install

There are two methods to download and install Orbot: Proxy with Tor for PC on Windows and Mac laptops. Let’s begin the steps to download Orbot for PC on Windows.

For PC Windows using BlueStacks:

  • To begin, download and install BlueStacks on your Windows or Mac computer. Bluestacks Offline Installer | Rooted Bluestacks |Bluestacks App Player.
  • After installing BlueStacks, open it from your desktop. You need to link your Google Account in order to access Google Play on BlueStacks. Navigate to Settings, then Accounts, and select Gmail.
  • Once the BlueStacks screen is loaded, click on the Search icon.
  • Now you need to enter the app name. Since I am searching for Orbot: Proxy with Tor, I will type Orbot: Proxy with Tor in the search bar and press Enter.
  • On the following screen, you will see a list of apps that contain the name Orbot: Proxy with Tor. Click on the first one developed by The Tor Project.
  • You are now on the app page. Click on “install” to begin downloading the app. Once the download is complete, Orbot: Proxy with Tor will be installed.
  • Before proceeding, you must grant permission to Orbot: Proxy with Tor to access your system information. Click on “Accept” when the pop-up appears.
  • Please wait for the installation process to finish. Once Orbot: Proxy with Tor is downloaded and installed, you will receive a notification similar to those on your Android devices. Go to the BlueStacks homepage, where you will find the Orbot: Proxy with Tor logo among your apps. Click on the Orbot: Proxy with Tor logo to begin using it.

FOR PC ON WINDOWS 8.1/10/8/7/XP/VISTA & MAC LAPTOP: Option 2

  1. Download the Orbot: Proxy with Tor APK file.
  2. Download and install BlueStacks: Bluestacks Offline Installer | Rooted Bluestacks |Bluestacks App Player
  3. After installing BlueStacks, double click on the APK file that you downloaded earlier.
  4. The APK will be installed through BlueStacks. After installation, open BlueStacks and find the recently installed Orbot: Proxy with Tor.
  5. Click on the Orbot: Proxy with Tor icon to launch it, then follow the on-screen instructions to start using the app.

FOR WINDOWS 10/8.1/8/7/XP & VISTA AND MAC COMPUTER:
