If you’ve jail broken your iOS and have begun to face this problem, then it’s you lucky day.  We have found a solution for this error that you can use.  In this post, we will give you a step by step guide to how you can fix the sub-process / usr / bin / dpkg returned an error code (2) on Cydia iOS.  Follow along with our guide below.

How to fix Cydia iOS sub-process / usr / bin / dpkg returned an error code (2):

Step 1: The first thing that you will have to do is find the directory structure of your iPhone. (you can do so through SSH or iFile ).

Step 2: After you have found the directory structure of your iPhone,  the next thing you have to find is the /var/lib/dpkg/ directory.

Step 3: Once you have found the /var/lib/dpkg/ directory, go inside and look for the following files available, available-old, status, status-old.  You are going to need to change the names of these files.

Step 4: First change “available” to “available-bak”.

Step 5: Second change “status” to “status-bak”.

Step 6: Third, change “available-old” to “available”.

Step 7: Fourth, change “status-old” to “status”.

Step 8: After making the changes, launch Cydia.  Make sure that you allow Cydia to load completely before you try to install any more tweaks.

After following this steps, you should now find that you can easily install any tweaks you want from Cydia without facing error sub-process / usr / bin / dpkg returned an error code (2).
