Samsung Cellphone Cases: Patchworks for S8/S8+

Although the official unveiling of the Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is still a month away, accessory manufacturers have already begun releasing their products. Typically, initial leaks regarding smartphone designs originate from case makers who receive briefings from the smartphone manufacturer on the product’s design. Notably, MobileFun.The UK, Under Armor Gear (UAG), and Ghostek have all showcased cases that offer a glimpse of how the upcoming devices will appear. Joining the fray, Patchworks, a Korean-based company, has recently introduced two new cases designed for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+.

Samsung Cellphone Cases: Patchworks for S8/S8+ – Overview

The two cases, dubbed ‘ITG Level’ and ‘Flexguard,’ prioritize a blend of design aesthetics, functionality, and device protection. The ITG Level case has successfully met multiple US Military Standard drop test specifications, demonstrating its ability to safeguard the smartphone during 26 consecutive falls from varying angles at a height of 4 feet. Despite utilizing two distinct layers of polycarbonate and TPU materials, the case maintains a slim profile while boasting an impressive design.

The Flexguard case prioritizes protection for the corners, a crucial feature given the dual curved display on both the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, which presents a unique challenge for case design. To address this, the case corners are engineered using state-of-the-art shock-resistant material, PORON XDR Extreme Impact Absorbed, in combination with Thermal Poly-Urethane (TPU) for enhanced flexibility. The Flexguard case will be available in black, while the ITG Level case will come in black and red color options, with both slated for release in March to coincide with the availability of the Galaxy S8/S8+.

Samsung is expected to reveal the official launch dates for the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ at the upcoming Mobile World Congress, with March 29 as the anticipated date for the announcement. The company is planning dedicated launch events in both the USA and Europe to introduce its highly anticipated flagship devices to consumers in these regions.
