Sony News: Sony Unveiling 5 Xperia Handsets at MWC Events

Reports suggest that Sony is gearing up to make a significant impact with the announcement of five Xperia handsets at the event, spanning from high-end to mid-range models.

While the official names of the devices remain undisclosed, their codenames have been unveiled as Yoshino, BlancBright, Keyaki, Hinoki, and Mineo. Among these, Yoshino is anticipated to serve as the flagship model, featuring a groundbreaking 5.5-inch 4K display, a pioneering feature in the smartphone industry. This device will be equipped with a Snapdragon 835 processor, paired with 6GB of RAM, ensuring high-performance capabilities. Additionally, the camera will be enhanced by the inclusion of Sony’s latest sensor, the Sony IMX400.

The device known as BlacBright will feature a 5.5-inch display with a resolution of 1440 x 2560. It is expected to be powered by either the Snapdragon 835 or the Snapdragon 635 processor, along with 4GB of RAM and the same IMX400 camera sensor as the Yoshino model. Moving on to the next smartphone, Keyaki, it will sport a Full HD display and run on a MediaTek Helio P20 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The Hinoki device, which shares the same MediaTek processor as Keyaki, will offer a 1280 x 720 resolution display, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of internal storage. In terms of optics, Hinoki will be equipped with a 16MP rear camera and an 8MP front camera for selfie capabilities.
