Renowned tipster Evan Blass shared an update confirming the official logo for the larger Galaxy S8 variant, putting an end to previous name speculations. The S8+ will boast a 6.2-inch display and a 3500mAh battery, while the Galaxy S8 will sport a 5.8-inch display and a 3000mAh battery. Beyond these differences, the specifications for both models are identical. Both smartphones will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835 processor, making them the first devices to feature this technology. Additionally, they will introduce a new AI assistant named Bixby, along with an iris scanner and fingerprint scanner located on the rear of the devices.
Samsung is set to reveal the Galaxy S8 and S8+ on March 29th. Typically, Samsung introduces their flagship devices at the MWC event, but this year they have postponed the unveiling to conduct thorough testing and prevent issues similar to those experienced with the Note 7. Nonetheless, Samsung will provide a preview of the S8 and S8+ at MWC events, during which they will also announce the Galaxy Tab S3.
