Key Features: LG G6 with Always-on Display

As the Mobile World Congress approaches, excitement about the LG G6 is growing with leaks and updates becoming more prominent. LG has been teasing us with hints about the device’s features such as More Intelligence, More Juice, and Reliability. The final design of the device has been a topic of debate, but newly leaked images of the LG G6 suggest that the speculation can now come to an end as it appears to be the real deal.

Key Features: LG G6 with Always-on Display – Overview

The leaked images showcase both the front and rear panels of the device, confirming design elements that have been seen in previous renders and leaks. Unlike its modular predecessor, the LG G6 features a 5.7-inch Univision display with an aspect ratio of 18:9, complemented by slim bezels at the front to maximize the display screen real estate in line with LG’s ‘See More, Play More’ event promo.

On the back of the device, the brushed metal appearance highlights the dual camera setup and fingerprint scanner. The component placement matches the leaked image that displayed the LG G6 in a glossy black finish, suggesting that this may be the final look of the device with potential color options of brushed metal and glossy black.

When it comes to specifications, the LG G6 will feature the Snapdragon 821 processor instead of the earlier speculated Snapdragon 835, as Samsung secured early supplies of the latter. The smartphone will also come with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Running on Android Nougat, the G6 will debut with the new LG UX 6.0 interface, including the Always-On display mode as shown in the initial image.

LG is scheduled to unveil the LG G6 at the Mobile World Congress on February 26th, although with the continuous stream of leaked images, there may not be much left to surprise fans. Mark your calendars for the big reveal!
