    • If your device is currently on the G930VVRS4APK4 firmware version, proceed to download the s7Nupdate2.zip file and change its name to update.zip

Installing Nougat OTA on Verizon Galaxy S7 Nougat Update – Guide

  1. Access the external SD card on your phone or computer.
  2. In the main directory of the external SD card, make a new folder named “fota”.
  3. Paste the update.zip file obtained earlier into the “fota” folder.
  4. Power off your phone.
  5. Enter download mode by simultaneously pressing the Volume Down, Power, and Home Key buttons. When a warning appears, press Volume Up to proceed.
  6. While in download mode, confirm that the bootloader status displays “Official” rather than “Custom.” If it shows as custom, revisit the preparation steps and follow step #4.
  7. To enter recovery mode, power off your phone once more. Then, power it on by holding the Volume Up, Power, and Home buttons simultaneously. Release the keys when the phone starts up.
  8. When the recovery menu appears on your phone, use the Volume Up/Down keys to navigate and press the power key to select “apply update.zip from the SD card.
  9. In the “apply update.zip from SD card” menu, choose the update.zip file stored in the “fota” folder and press the power key to confirm your selection.
  10. Select the “Yes” option by pressing the power key, and the Nougat OTA will be swiftly installed on your Verizon Galaxy S7.
