The Latest Google GApps For Android 5.0.X Lollipop

Last updated: October 2, 2018.

The Latest Google GApps

The latest Android update, Android 5.0 Lollipop, is one of the biggest such updates in Android history.  Lollipop has the biggest changes we’re seen so far in the department of graphics and is the biggest UI update since the Android 4.0.1 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The Android 5.0 Lollipop introduces a new UI known as Materials Design. Google has included a lot of new features for Android 5.0 Lollipop, including a new lock screen with notifications and new security enhancements.  They’ve fixed a lot of bugs and have improved battery performance.

All Google devices, from Nexus 4 onward are now running on Android 5.0 Lollipop.  Sony is also set to update their Xperia Z series to use Android 5.0 Lollipop and even Samsung is looking to use this version on their flagships from the Galaxy S4 onward.

Old and low end devices won’t be getting official updates however, those who own such devices need to update using custom ROMs such as CyanogenMod12, Paranoid Android, Carbon ROM, Omni ROM, and SlimKat ROM.  Unfortunately, what these custom ROMs don’t come with are Google GApps.

After flashing a custom ROM, you’re going to need to flash the compatible Google GApps  as well.  There can be some difficulty in finding the compatible GApps for your custom ROM so we came up with a short list to help you out.

The GApps packages listed here are compatible with all of the current custom ROM’s as well as all of the Android 5.0 Lollipop versions.
