How To: Use the Greenify to Improve the Battery Life of Your Device

Last updated: December 4, 2018.

Use the Greenify

Smartphones have undoubtedly become the latest trend today, and these things have been performing quite reliably except for one small problem – the battery life. This is particularly common among Androd devices, and to address this, developers are making custom ROMs to ensure the satisfaction of their users. Another option would be to download one of those battery saver options that can be found at the Google Play Store. However, not all of the custom ROMs have the battery-saving feature, and not all battery saver options allows the user to manually add apps to halt them.

Greenify, meanwhile, lets users set applications to place them in hibernation mode and stop these apps from running in the background. As a result, the device is able to have a longer battery life. What differs Greenify from other battery savers is that it dies not permit all of the hibernated applications begin running alone. The only requirement for Greenify is to make sure that your device is rooted.

As soon as you have successfully installed Greenify, here is how to use it:

  • Open Greenify from your app drawer
  • Click the plus sign (+) found on the lower left portion of the screen
  • A list of apps suggested by Greenify will appear on the screen.
  • Select the apps that you want to hybernate

Installing Greenify and using it is a very simple task, and the reward – a longer battery life – is great.
