How To: Use the Fingerprint Scanner Samsung to Lock and Unlock The Samsung Galaxy S6

In this post, were going to walk you through how to use your new fingerprint scanner Samsung on the Samsung Galaxy S6.

One of the features that the Samsung Galaxy S6 comes with is the fingerprint scanner.  Samsung introduced this feature in the Galaxy S5 but the one on the Galaxy S6 is a different feature all together.

With the fingerprint scanner samsung of the Galaxy S6, you only have to place your finger on the home button to unlock the device.  This is different from the Galaxy S5 which required you to slide your finger.

 

How To Lock and Unlock The Samsung Galaxy S6 With The Fingerprint Scanner Samsung:

  1. Swipe your finger down to pull down the notification bar on the home screen.
  2. In the notification bar, select the Settings option.
  3. Tap on the Fingerprint Scanner option.
  4. Tap on the Fingerprint Manager option.
  5. You will need to register first for the Fingerprint Scanner to work. Follow the instructions on screen.
  6. Hold your finger on the screen and slowly move it downwards. Swipe it like that 8 times.
  7. Now, add an alternative method for you to access your device. This is in case the fingerprint scanner stops working for some reason.

How To Setup The Fingerprint Lock On A Samsung Galaxy S6:

  1. Pull down the notification bar again.
  2. Select the Settings option.
  3. Tap on the Finger Scanner option.
  4. Tap on the Finger Scanner option.
  5. Select Screenlock.
  6. Select Touch Fingerprint.
