Use A GenNxt Pre-Rooted ROM On A Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 Duos

The GenNxt Custom ROM is based on Android 4.3.  This ROM has a lot of great features but the best thing about it is it’s already rooted so by installing this on your device, you don’t need to do anything else to get root access.

If you want to use the GenNxt Custom ROM, you need a device that runs on Android 4.3 or 4.2.2 Jelly Bean.  In this guide, we’re going to show you how to install this ROM on a Samsung Galaxy Grad 2 Duos G7102.

Prepare your Phone:

1. Check your device model by going to Settings>About. You need to make sure that the device model is G7102.
2. Your battery has 60-80 percent of its charge.
3. Back up important media content, messages, contacts and call logs.
4. Back up your phone’s EFS data.
5. Enable USB debugging
6. Download USB Driver for Samsung Devices
7. Root your device.

Note: The methods needed to flash custom recoveries, roms and to root your phone can result in bricking your device.  Rooting your device will also void the warranty and it will no longer be eligible for free device services from manufacturers or warranty providers.  Be responsible and keep these in mind before you decide to proceed on your own responsibility.  In case a mishap occurs, we ore the device manufacturers should never be held responsible.

Download:

1. Download Android 4.3 GenNxt ROM here

Install:

1. Connect the device to the PC
2. Copy and paste the file you downloaded above to your phone’s SD card
3. Disconnect the device and the PC.
4. Turn the device off.
5. Open the device in recovery mode by pressing and holding down the volume up, home and power buttons until text appears on screen

If you have CWM/Philz:

1. Choose to wipe cache

2. Go to advance and choose to wipe the Delvik cache

3. Choose to wipe data/factory reset

4. Go to Install zip from SDcard. You should have another window open in front of you.

5. Go to Choose zip from SDcard

6. Select GenNxt.zip file
7. When installation ends, Select +++++Go Back+++++
8. Select Reboot Now to Reboot the System.

If you have TWRP

1. Tap on the Wipe Button and then Select Cache, System, Data.
2. Swipe Confirmation Slider.
3. Go to Main Menu and Tap Install Button.
4. Locate GenNxt.zip , Swipe Slider To install
5. When Installation is Over, you will get a promot to Reboot System Now
6. Select Reboot Now to Reboot the System.

Solve Signature Verification Error:

• OpenRecovery.
• Navigate to install zip from Sdcard

• Go to Toggle Signature Verification. From there, press the power button to see if it is disabled.  If it is now, disable it then install the zip
•
