Root Galaxy Grand Duos on Android 4.2.2 xxubna4 JellyBean

  • Also back up the Mobiles EFS Data. This will keep you from losing any connectivit such as your Bluetooth, Wifi, Mobile Data, and even sending messages or making calls.

  1. Download Super SU here and Recovery for Galaxy Grand Duo on your computer
  2. Extract the zip file
  3. Download Odin
  4. Copy the downloaded SuperSU on the root of your SD card
  5. Shut down your device
  6. Turn it on while simultaneously pressing the home, power, and volume up buttons. Continue doing this until the text on screen appears.
  7. Open Odin which was downloaded earlier, and connect your device to your computer. The Odin port will then turn to yellow with COM port number

  1. Select ‘PDA’ and look for the file with the biggest size, or the file called ‘Recovery_20120412.Tar’
  2. Click ‘Auto Reboot’ in Odin
  3. Click the Start button and wait for the installation to finish. Your Galaxy Grand Duo will restart as soon as it is completed.
  4. Unplug the cable connecting your device to your computer as soon as the home screen appears and you receive the ‘Pass’ message on Odin.

  1. Shut down your Galaxy Grand Duo
  2. Open the Recovery Mode by simultaneously pressing the power and volume up and down buttons until a text appears on your device’s screen.
  3. An ‘Install zip from SD card’ window will open. Press options and click ‘choose zip from SD card’

  1. Choose the file named ‘Super SU.zip’ and allow the installation
  2. Click Go Back as soon as the installation has been completed
  3. Reboot your system by selecting ‘Reboot System Now’

Somewhere during the installation process, it is possible for you to become stuck in bootloop, although the possibility of this happening is almost non existent. In this case, follow this process to get back on track:

  1. Click Recovery
  2. Shut down your device and turn it on again while simultaneously pressing the home, power, and volume up buttons uhntil the text on screen appears.
  3. Go to Advance
  4. Choose ‘Wipe Devlik Cache’

  1. Click Back and choose ‘Wipe Cache Partition’
