Get The Xperia Z5’s Camera

Sony has always made it a point to equip their devices with the best camera shooters they can. Their camera apps are always cool and make good use of the device’s shooter.

With their Xperia Z5, Sony developed a device equipped with the world’s best camera lens. The v2.0. Camera of the Z5 includes a number of new features and enhancements that are not found in older Sony smartphones like the Z1, Z2, and Z3.

If you have an older device but want to get the camera of the Z5, we have a way you can do so. Team EXR and Team HS have ported the camera of the Z5. This means that it can work with all Xperia Z devices that have a 20.7 MP G Lens shooter.

Before we show you how you can install the Z5 camera app to an older Z device, let’s run through a brief checklist of things you need. First of all, you will need a custom recovery running on your device. The MOD we will be using comes in a flashable zip file. You simply flash the zip of this mod to get the Xperia Z5 Camera v2.0 app. Here are a few other things you should do before installing the new camera app.

Pre-installation instructions

The MOD we are using is only compatible with Xperia Z1, Z1 Compact, Z2, Z3 and Z3 Compact. Do not flash this on other devices as it could brick it.
Your device needs to be running Android Lollipop.
Charge phone so it has up to 50 percent power. This is to avoid power issues before the flashing process ends.
Make a Nandroid backup of your current system.
