How To: Clean Off The Bloatware Apps On All Versions Of The Samsung Galaxy S4

Clean Off The Bloatware Apps

The Samsung Galaxy line of devices offers some great smartphones.  Samsung provides good support for this line with many official ROMs.  The downside to Samsung Galaxy devices and the ROMs that come out for them are they tend to have a lot of bloatware.

Bloatware is often unnecessary apps that bring down the performance of a device, causing it to lag, consume a lot of battery and slowing the devices performance.

Samsung’s latest flagship, the Galaxy S4, has some pretty powerful hardware – a Quad-core processor and 2GB RAM, but it is prone to lagging.  It also has almost 3 different pages of System apps, most of no real use to the User.

Bloatware

Removing some of these system apps or bloatware might improve the performance of the device.  In this post, we’re going to show you how you can use an app called True Clean Script to remove the bloatware on a Samsung Galaxy S4.

In order to use this app, you need to have root access on your device.  You also need to be running official or stock firmware.

You will also need NotePad ++ installed on the PC that you are going to use.

The True Clean Script app can remove 100+ apps from a Galaxy S4, clear 500 MB of space,

Note: The methods needed to flash custom recoveries, ROMs and to root your phone can result in bricking your device.  Rooting your device will also void the warranty and it will no longer be eligible for free device services from manufacturers or warranty providers.  Be responsible and keep these in mind before you decide to proceed on your own responsibility.  In case a mishap occurs, we or the device manufacturers should never be held responsible.
