Back Panel: Exclusive Galaxy S8 Leak in Black and Silver – Overview

One of the notable design alterations in the Galaxy S8 involves the elimination of the home button, which previously housed the fingerprint scanner. The fingerprint scanner has now been relocated to the rear of the device, positioned alongside the camera setup. While Samsung initially intended to incorporate an in-display sensor, technical delays from Synaptics prompted a last-minute decision to place the fingerprint scanner at the back. This adjustment is confirmed by the rear panel’s configuration, featuring three distinct cutouts for the 12MP dual-pixel camera, the fingerprint sensor, and the flash and heart rate sensor, with the Samsung branding also prominently displayed.

Samsung is set to introduce two versions, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+. Both models will boast a dual curved display, differing primarily in screen size. The Galaxy S8 will feature a 5.8-inch display, while the Galaxy S8+ will offer a larger 6.2-inch screen. Each device will be powered by either the Snapdragon 835 or Exynos 8895 SoC, with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of native storage. The South Korean and Chinese editions will feature 6GB of RAM. Furthermore, Samsung’s proprietary AI assistant, Bixby, is poised to make its debut alongside the new devices.

The official unveiling of the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ is scheduled for March 29th, with a global launch anticipated on either April 28th or April 21st. Tech enthusiasts worldwide are eagerly awaiting the arrival of Samsung’s latest flagship devices, offering an array of enhanced features and performance capabilities.
