Build

• The handset is designed very beautifully.
• The front and the back of the handset are encased in glass.
• There is a metal strip along the edges.
• The physical material of the handset feels robust and durable.
• Weighing 130g it does not feel very heavy.
• It is comfortable for hands and pockets.
• There is not much bezel above and below the screen.
• There are no buttons on the fascia.
• The word ‘Honor’ is embossed on the back of the handset.
• Speakers are present on the back. The speakers are very loud.
• Power and volume button are present on the right edge.
• Headphone jack sits at the top edge.
• There is a micro USB connector on the bottom edge.

• The memory can be increased by the addition of a microSD card.
• The 3100mAh battery is good. The standby time is simply excellent while the battery drained a little quickly during use.

Features

• The handset runs Android KitKat 4.4. Operating system.
• The device has a custom skin called Emotion UI. This skin has enhanced and redesigned everything in the phone.
• There is a notification light on the fascia which lights up in different colours depending on the notification.
• It is 4G supported.
• The features of dual band Wi-Fi, NFC, DLNA and Bluetooth are present.
• The handset can also be used as a remote owing to the presence of an infra-red port.
• There is no app drawer so the home screen seems a bit cluttered.

Conclusion

The offered combination of features is extremely impressive. You can’t really find any noticeable fault with the handset. It has out done itself in every field. The design, camera, processor, display and features are all very admirable. Great effort by Hauwei, no one could have offered better features at the same price. No one would call it a mid-range handset; it can compete with high end devices.
