BLU is among the best phone manufacturers if you are looking for an affordable device. It has several offerings in its line of products that caters to different kinds of budget as well. It’s new release, the BLU Studio C Mini and the Blue Studio 5.0 C HD costs $120 and $150, respectively. It’s off-contract, as is always the case with BLU. The two phones are created to compete with the budget devices of Motorola.

 

The BLU Studio C Mini vs Moto E

BLU Studio C Mini is a 4.7-inch 480×800 phone that has 41.3GHz quad core MediaTek MT6582. It has a 512mb RAM and a 4gb storage, with a slot for microSD card. The 2,000mAh battery is removable, and it runs on Android 4.4. Dimensions of the phone is 138mm x 71.5mm x 9.5mm. It has a 5mp rear camera and a 2mp front camera. It costs $120.

 

The Moto E, meanwhile, is a 4.3 inch 540×960 phone that is 1.2GHz dual core Snapdragon 200. It has a 1gb RAM and a 4gb storage, also with a slot for microSD card. The 1,980mAh battery is not removable and it also runs on Android 4.4. Dimensions of the phone is 124.8mm x 64.8mm x 12.3mm. It has a 5mp rear camera and no front camera. It costs $130.

BLU Studio 5.0 C HD is a 5-inch 720×1280 phone that has 1.3GHz quar core MediaTek MT6582. It has 1gb RAM and a 4gb storage, with a s lot for microSD card. The 2,000mAh battery is removable, and it runs on Android 4.4. Dimensions of the phone is 145mm x 73mm x 9.7mm. It has an 8mp rear camera and a 2mp front camera. It costs $150.

 

The Moto G is a 4.5-inch 720×128 phone that has 1.2GHz quad core Snapdragon 400 processor. It has 1gb RAM and an 8gb storage. The 2,070mAh battery is also not removable, and it runs on Android 4.4. Dimensions of the phone is 129.9mm x 65.9mm x 11.6mm. It has a 5mp rear camera and a 1.3mp front camera. It costs $180.

 

 

The verdict

In terms of specs, the BLU 5.0 C HD provides the best value for your money. It’s an excellent option for those looking to buy an affordable device.

 

The Studio C Mini, despite having a low-res display, has well-calibrated colors and a so-so performance. At least, it’s not as bad as what you’d expect of a phone that only has a 512mb RAM. The fewer pixels allow the device to become snappier.

The build quality is okay despite the low price. It has thin back cover which is a bit slippery. Other than that, it’s all good.

 

The Studio 5.0 C HD, meanwhile, provides you 1gb of RAM, a bigger display, and a bigger camera for just an additional $30. It has a vibrant display and a smooth performance. Similar to the C Mini, it also has a think back that is slippery, but it is still a solid device and is offered on different colors: black, white, pink, orange, and teal.

The two devices both exceed user’s expectations. It’s pleasant to use and does not give you headaches. For a cheap device, it provides exceptional performance.
