The Galaxy Note 4

Samsung’s next flagship device, the Galaxy Note 4, is expected to launch in September and till now, Samsung has been quite about the devices features.  While Samsung might be quiet, some leaks have given us a bit of an idea about the specs of the Galaxy Note 4.

According to a report by Korean publication ET News, the Galaxy Note 4 will have a flexible screen, a premium metal design and a 16-megapixel camera that will include optical image stabilization (OIS).

The news of a premium metal design isn’t that surprising as we’ve already heard plenty of rumors about a metal-clad Galaxy F (Galaxy S5 Prime), which is said to be a metallic version of the Galaxy S5.  It seems like Samsung is going to be setting a new trend for itself with metallic versions of their flagships.

There have also been other reports that suggest Samsung is now experimenting with many different material choices for their phone cases.  Some of the rumors we’ve been hearing are stainless steel, aluminum, magnesium and plastic phone cases.

Plastic is also another rumored material for the Samsung Galaxy Note 4.  So I guess we’ll have to wait to see if Samsung is launching both a plastic and metallic version of the Galaxy Note 4 and whether these two versions will share the same name.

According to ET News Samsung has already upped their flexible display production by more than 50%.  Other reports have suggested that there will be two versions of the Galaxy Note 4, one with a normal screen and the other with the flexible screen, but we’re going to have to wait and see.  In any case, we’re pretty excited about a flexible screen on the Galaxy Note 4.

Between the premium metal body, flexible screen and 16-MP camera with OIS, it’s starting to sound like Samsung is really upping their game with the Galaxy Note 4.  They have  to as their facing stiff competition with Apple’s iPhone 6.  The Galaxy Note 4 sounds like it is armored with some great tools, we’ll just have to see how it fares when it is released.

What do you think about the rumored features of the Samsung Galaxy Note 4?
